As a CASA, I serve as a court appointed special advocate for children who are victims of neglect and abuse in McHenry County. Since opening its doors in 2005, CASA of McHenry County has had a tremendous impact on the lives of abused and neglected children. With the dedication of over 100 advocates, CASA has given a voice to over 300 children involved in the juvenile court system. CASA advocates are fact finders for the judge, a voice for the child, and oftentimes the only consistent adult in a child’s life.
